Severe thunderstorms and heavy rain have hit parts of Oman, triggering sudden water flows, strong winds and dangerous road conditions. Several areas have been affected by rapidly rising water, with some roads temporarily disrupted as powerful runoff swept through wadis. More storms and heavy rainfall remain possible, raising the risk of additional flooding and hazardous conditions.
