A major and large magnitude 7.0 earthquake. Such events are often quite destructive, but oddly enough, here's one thing they aren't; rare. Around the globe, more than a major earthquakes strike annually, so I decided to showcase how precisely rare each magnitude of earthquake is starting from 5.0 (and heading upwards).
