Heavy rain has hit northeastern Sichuan and Chongqing, with Dazhou and northeastern Chongqing among the hardest-hit areas. Chengkou recorded 201.9 millimeters of rain, while several other areas received more than 100 millimeters. Kaizhou, Chengkou, Wuxi, Yunyang, Wushan and Fengjie have all been affected by heavy downpours. Water levels have risen in 13 small and medium-sized rivers across northeastern Chongqing. The heavy rainfall is creating a tense hydrological situation along the Sichuan-Chongqing border.
